Part of Egis Group (+13000 worldwide), the Business Unit MENS (1) dedicated to structuration, operation, maintenance and services to infrastructure is looking for its Compliance officer.
Following the Governance set by Egis Group, the Compliance Officer is primarily responsible to implement, monitor, enforce compliance rules in respect of the different regulations (administrative procedures, environment, ethics, health & safety, data protection, etc.) over a scope composed by 5 strategic areas corresponding the BU’s main activities and over 7 Local Offices in charge of business development and corporate activities in different parts of the world.
(1) Business Unit MENS (Montage-Exploitation-Nouveaux Services)
MISSION & MAIN ACTIVITIES:
The position’s holder commits to comply with the three Codes of Ethics, Integrity and Human Resources Management Code, internal rules, all local regulations and Health & Safety rules that apply in for the BU MENS activities.
The position’s holder guides a broad set of activities: Performance management system and quality certificates, ethics, data protection, risk management and health& safety. The list of activities is non-exhaustive and may be extended or changed upon management’s decision.
Performance system, quality certificates and risk management:
Overviewing the management of the performance system applying over all activities and subsidiaries, the BU Compliance officer supports in the development/ monitoring of own performance system and supports any organization upon request in the formal certification process.
In the main organizations, the performance activities and KPI’s achievement are under the responsibility of a performance manager/officer. The BU Compliance officer animates this community or directly manages the person in charge without being directly responsible of performance.
Based on the output from the Management review (highlighting risks and opportunities), he/she actively participates in structuring the approach and focusses on the main three risks.
Ethics, data protection:
The BU Compliance officer ensures that all organizations of the BU including the operational subsidiaries are properly monitored. Leading the various network of correspondents, he/she actively implement, communicate and monitor the actions including training.
The BU Compliance officer carries out ‘compliance’ audits if so required (impromptu audits or verification audits) with the help of the persons in charge in the different subsidiaries.
He/she pursues a program of self-audit initiated recently by Egis Group, in respect of which there is potentially a higher level of interaction and follow-up required than currently possibly is done.
Health & Safety, international travel security:
The position’s holder liaises with the HR team regarding corporate requirement.
Management and reporting:
The position’s holder reports to the Executive Director of the BU.
He/she animates the working groups and professional communities around the Performance / Ethics / data protection topics.
Managing a team of two Performance managers, one being in charge of the ‘holding companies’, the other responsible over an area covered by the Local office located in Poland, he/she works closely with the HR team regarding training, legal team and DAF team regarding corporate requirements for board meetings, board memberships, guarantees, etc.
SKILLS REQUIRED :
With a diploma in legal, completed by a degree (or equivalent experience in) business / engineering, the candidate must have a similar experience in a matrix organization comprising several subsidiaries which have strong stakes in compliance & performance management.
Perfect English is necessary to address the topic over the organization acting mostly at the international level. A third language as a plus.
As a professional of ethics, must have a strong character and an excellent communication skills to lead consensus within several communities. Integrity, curiosity, ability to put questions and deliver comprehensive answers on all topics, including in complex contexts Quick understanding of working methods and complex organizations performing in different business’ sectors. Ability to prioritize, coordinate and cooperate.
